Nature is like mountains and rivers, and kindness is like plants and trees.
Plants and trees grow and die, but mountains and rivers are strong and firm.
In the old days, there was a little wolf who learned to hunt from a big wolf. He was smart and diligent, but he could never catch food. One day, the big wolf ordered the little wolf to find food alone, otherwise he would starve. The little wolf returned to the mountain field, hid in the dark, and soon caught a rabbit. Unexpectedly, the little wolf did not pounce on the food immediately, but carefully restrained his strength to help the rabbit lick its wounds to stop bleeding.
Seeing this, the rabbit struggled to escape, and the little wolf ran to chase him. The rabbit panicked and fell into the pond. He fluttered and tried to swim back to the shore, but was pressed back into the water by the little wolf who was chasing him. In a moment, seeing that the rabbit was about to drown, the little wolf hurriedly picked him up and kept rubbing his head to help him breathe. The rabbit woke up and was confused. Suddenly, the howl of the big wolf came from the dark. The little wolf was panicked and stretched out his claws to hold the rabbit, but he used too much force. There was a click. He lifted his claws and looked again. The rabbit was already red from all seven orifices and dead.
The little wolf sobbed sadly. The big wolf asked him and then understood: it was because the little wolf couldn’t bear to kill the rabbit, so he spared its life many times, but he was worried that he would starve, so he was unwilling to let it go. After hearing this, the big wolf said: “You think you are kind and soft-hearted, but in fact you have added a lot of pain to yourself and the rabbit. After thinking about it over and over again, it’s better to give each other a quick death from the beginning.”
The little wolf seemed to have realized another truth from this. Later, he created a trick of throwing darts to assassinate, which was fast and fierce. He believed that this was the greatest mercy to the opponent.
